Avşar is a family-owned company active in the ship recycling industry since the early 1980s. Avşar is one of the leading ship recyclers in Aliağa, Türkiye, and is a member of the International Ship Recycling Association (ISRA).

Mission
Mission
CO₂ reduction
Avşar’s mission is to contribute to the reduction of global CO₂ emissions. This is achieved through hot rolling steel plates originating from Avşar’s recycling projects and by supplying steel scrap for recycling.
Recycling steel results in an estimated CO₂ reduction of approximately 85% per tonne of steel compared to producing Scope 1 and Scope 2 steel in Türkiye from iron ore.
